A series of Sundays where we "stick around" after worship and engage in a church-wide time of learning, serving & sharing together!
November - Pressure Brings Forth Cider . . . AND Christlike Character! Apple cider tastes so good, but it has to go through some painful changes to get from apple to juice. Kind of like the process Christians have to go through to become more like Jesus. But don't worry--God's loving hands guide the process, and there's benefit to you and others at the end!
We joined together over various holiday flavored pies and cider. We talked about family traditions regarding the holidays and shared our favorite memories of our own holidays.
March - ' 'Here I am,' I said; 'send me! '” Isaiah 6:8. In the Great Commission, Jesus commands us to go out and share the message of salvation with all the nations. He is waiting for someone to answer the call to missions. Outreach is more than just teaching and sharing his word. Jesus also expects his followers to lead by example and provide charity to those who need it most. That is why many churches are safe locations for homeless individuals, the hungry, and needy families who need help with clothes, books, and other items.
We gathered and assembled peanut butter & jelly sandwiches for Brian's Angels in Bristol, Ct. Who knew making PB&J sandwiches would be something we all bonded over. Singing the PB&J song, talking about how to cut them, what kind of PB or Jelly was preferred and how just a good old fashion PB&J brought us comfort.
UPCOMING Sundays:
Craft Event:
Any church is no more and no less than its members, it’s yours, and you are making it. This church’s purpose is to be a constant act of creation. We come together, and we make things, and we affirm the craft we see in each other. Then we go home inspired, confident, peaceful, and we live our lives with all the happiness and love we can.
Luncheon Event:
Come and warm your soul with fellowship! The word translated “fellowship” is from the Greek koinonia, referring to friendship or sharing in a partnership. In the very first church, the believers “devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer” (Acts 2:42). Strong friendships and fellowship are an essential part of a healthy and growing local church.
